~ Creamy Rice Pudding - Cremiger Reisbrei ~
Let's start with the recipe:
(1st try: 28.11.2007)
500ml of boiling water
250g round polished rice
500ml of soy-, almond-, rice-, hemp- or whatever milk you like.
Combine boiling water with rice and let it cook or better simmer for 15min.
Now add 500ml of your favourite milk and let it simmer for another 15-20min.
If you like add 10g of margarine to the rice pudding to make it a little bit more creamier. You can also add a vanilla pod to the rice pudding while cooking.
Now your rice pudding is finished. Enjoy it with cinnamon&sugar or with some flower sugar (Flower Power from Sonnentor) and sprinkle some fresh berries over it and savour...
***
Can't understand why we Germans call it "Milchreis". I think "Reisbrei" is more correct. You wouldn't say "Milchhafer" to porridge as well... we name it "Haferbrei"... Ok, stupid thoughts. :)
